If you're always on the go, you'll want to hear about this versatile bag you can bring to any occasion. We're talking about the iconic, award-winning Everyday Backpack from Peak Design. It's built for easy access, top-quality protection, and flexible organization. Its sleek and clean profile, robust hardware, and minimal straps make it a cut above the rest. But this isn't just the same old pack — this is the second generation, improved using feedback from dedicated users of the original model. It's not just about looks and utility; the bag also sports a 400D weatherproof shell that's even more sustainable than the previous model.

To Know:

This is the bag you end up taking everywhere. The Everyday Pack is Peak Design’s most dialed-in backpack — clean, smart, and crazy functional for photographers who go everywhere with their camera. They upgraded everything from the last version: better organization, sleeker design, tougher (and now more sustainable) materials. It protects your gear without looking like a traditional camera bag and it just performs great as hell doing it.

What We Love:

Made for Everyday Life

This bag’s not just for camera nerds. It’s built for whatever you’ve got going on. Toss in your gear, your lunch, your hoodie — it somehow fits it all without looking bulky. And yeah, it doesn’t look like a camera bag, which is kind of the point.

Tough on Weather, Easy on the Planet

The outer shell is made from 100% recycled material and shrugs off rain like it’s nothing. Feels rugged, lasts forever, and doesn’t trash the planet. Win win.

Customize It Your Way

The inside is super modular with these foldable dividers that actually work. Stack your camera, drone, or just daily stuff without it all turning into a mess at the bottom.

The Details

Brand: Peak Design

Bag Type: Backpack

Trip Length: 2-3 Day

Best For: Coffee shop dates, daily commutes, carry-on luggage, road trips, and days in the city.

A sustainable approach to everyday photo carry with a sleek, sexy profile.

This second generation of Peak Design’s Everyday Pack is a big step up — you can tell they took real feedback from everyday users and made it count. The inside is way more functional now, thanks to the three FlexFold dividers. They let you stack your camera gear, drone, or daily essentials without everything collapsing into a pile at the bottom. It actually feels like the bag works with you instead of just holding stuff.

The outer shell is built with recycled, weatherproof 400D material that feels rugged and dependable — I’ve taken it through light rain and chaotic travel days without worrying once about what’s inside. The newly designed MagLatch is one of my favorite touches. It’s quick to open, satisfying to use, and still keeps everything secure. Side zips with waterproof seals give you fast access without needing to swing the whole bag around.

What I really appreciate is how low-key it looks. It doesn’t advertise that you’re carrying a few thousand dollars of gear, which makes it feel safer to travel with. And even when I’m biking or skating around the city, it stays balanced and comfortable against my back. The side pocket for a tripod is super handy too — I throw mine in there all the time and forget it’s even there.

What It Fits

The 3 FlexFold dividing system allow for endless internal configuration, compartmentalizing, and gear stacking to prevent lenses from being stuffed at the bottom of your bag.

I can easily pack a Canon 5DM4 DSLR equivalent with an attached 35mm lens, a film point-and-shoot, and other everyday gear like hard-drives, books, make-up bags, and more. If I need to fit more tele lenses, pack in a 70-200mm lens attached for the 30L sized bag. Use smaller pouches lined in the two inner zip-ups fit smaller wires, chargers, and SD cards. Back sleeve snuggly fits a 15” laptop and can be opened without messing with the main compartment. Both size bags are perfectly custom to fit the DJI Mavic and DJI Spark, with controller and accessories, plus room to spare.

If you’re into a bag that compartmentalizes every bit of gear, then this will be your new go-to.

In Detail

The outer shell feels tough and totally weatherproof, like all Peaks bags are. I’ve been caught in a few unexpected brainstorming living in Seattle, and everything inside stayed bone dry. It’s made from recycled materials too, which is a nice nod to the planet. What really surprised me, though, was how protective it is. I’ve tossed it into the trunk, squished it under airplane seats, and my gear’s still safe thanks to the REALLY dense padding.

One of my favorite features is the external carry system. I can strap a tripod or jacket onto the outside when I need more space in the inside, and when I don’t, the straps tuck away neatly so it doesn’t look messy.

The MagLatch closure is another standout which I haven't seen on other backpacks. It’s fast and silent, which is great when I’m shooting on the go. The magnet just finds its spot and clicks shut without any fumbling, and it gives the whole bag a clean look.
