Introducing Action Plates

It’s like a video game controller for your camera app.

Pick a Plate. Set your controls. Start shooting.

What are Action Plates?

Action Plates are swappable control layouts at the bottom of Moment Pro Camera II App. Each Plate gives your shutter, camera controls, and exposure information a different look and feel—so you can match the interface to the way you shoot.

Because no single layout works for every shot. Street photography may call for a clear viewfinder. Run-and-gun video needs every control within reach. A casual walk might need little more than the shutter. Think of it like choosing a controller for a video game: pick the layout, assign the controls you use most, and leave out the ones you don’t.

Meet the Plates

MPC-II

The flagship Plate and our go-to for almost any situation. MPC-II has two assignable slots and adaptive controls.

ARC

Built to be invisible. ARC uses four assignable slots, simple arcs, and intuitive gestures to keep your attention on the frame. Its adaptive controls expand when neighboring slots are left empty, creating larger touch target.

TECHNO

Built for speed. TECHNO places four assignable controls in a consistent grid, so they’re easy to find quickly. Choose between Light and Dark styles.

How to Choose and Configure a Plate

  1. Open Settings, find Plate, and tap Switch.
  2. Preview the available Plates, choose one, and tap Equip.
  3. Tap Configure to decide what appears in each assignable slot.
  4. Depending on the Plate, you can add Capture Mode, Look, White Balance, or Exposure Priority. You can also choose any available style and color options.

ARC and MPC-II use adaptive controls. When a slot is left empty, its vertical sibling expands into the available space.

Save an Action Plate to a Profile

By default, your equipped Action Plate stays active across every mode and Profile. To give a Profile its own Plate, edit the Profile, enable Action Plateunder Viewfinder, and tap Save Changes. From then on, that Profile will remember its Plate and control configuration.

For Street Photography

Equip ARC and keep only Exposure Priority and Capture Mode close at hand. You get a cleaner viewfinder with fewer distractions.

For Run-and-Gun Video

Fill all four TECHNO slots with Capture Mode, White Balance, Exposure Priority, and Look. The consistent grid puts everything within quick reach.

For Everyday Shooting

Start with MPC-II and assign Look plus White Balance—or keep just one control and let it expand. Simple, flexible, and ready for almost anything.

For Repeatable Setups

Save a Plate and its configuration to a Profile. Your street, portrait, and filmmaking Profiles can each load the controls that fit the job.
