Macro 10x vs. Macro 75mm
Moment sells two options — the Macro 10x and the Macro 75mm — and they behave very differently, even though both are proper macro glass.
These macro lenses have been updated ti offer the same great 75mm and 10x focal lengths, just with more glass and more sharpness. They'e about 30% more sharp than the previous generation macro lenses, making it even easier for you to focus at extreme close up shots and gives you edge to edge clarity even on the latest iPhone 17 Pro's.
The Macro 10X is the original. This focal length typically tailored to stationary subjects — you can shoot from about an inch away, giving you the absolute maximum magnification on a phone.
Macro photography can be technically demanding. Because you’re so close, small hand movements, shadows, and limited light can get in the way, but the included hood softens harsh highlights and blocks your phone’s shadow so you keep the detail sharp and clean.
The 75mm feels more like a traditional macro lens. Your working distance stretches to around three or four inches, so skittish subjects— bees on a petal, a quick lizard — stay comfortably away and unbothered. The frame shows a bit more scene for context while still nailing a good amount of detail, which makes it a favorite for product photos or wildlife that needs room to breathe.
A huge upside of the 75mm macro lens is that the front threads accept 67mm filters with the 67mm filter adapter, so you can pop on a CineBloom to mellow harsh sun or a variable ND to manage bright daylight.
